BACK has recently completed a fully featured content management system for a large client after months of development. This specialised system gives the user full control over all aspects of the site from editing CSS to changing stories, pictures, layout, formatting and much more with a simple and well designed interface.
The approach taken was one of complete object access with all items treated as potential variables stored in a database. This takes things a little further than the standard CMS which has the basic news items as editable and gives a larger degree of control. The project has taken in a wide range of staff from project managers, developers, creative designers and of course the end user. The system has received unanimous welcome from the client and moves them onwards from a static website to a tool useful for direct and targeted marketing.
